       Due to coronavirus, Gujarat government has decided that schools will not be open in Gujarat till Diwali. Corona's condition will be reviewed after Diwali and then the government will take a decision. But sources said the government is adamant not to open schools till December.


A senior official said the Gujarat government would consider resuming schools only after Diwali. State Education Secretary Vinod Rao said there were no immediate plans to reopen the schools. "We are not doing this right away. "After assessing the coronavirus situation, we will consider resuming schools only after Diwali (vacation)," Rao told PTI on Saturday.





He said the education department is in touch with parents and representatives of school organizations on the issue.


Diwali will be celebrated on November 14 this year.


The state government had earlier decided to reopen the schools from September 21 as per the Centre’s Standard Management Procedure (SOP), which allowed students to visit schools to seek teacher guidance with parental permission.




The latest S.O.P. Accordingly, the Central Government has allowed the States and Union Territories to take a decision to open schools on a classical basis from October 15.

In Uttar Pradesh, students in classes 9 to 12 will be allowed to enter schools outside the content zone from October 19. Written permission of parents or guardians will be mandatory and the class will be taken in two shifts - Class for 9th and 10th standard in the first shift and classes for 11th and 12th standard in the second.


Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma also said that 50 per cent students should be called in each class in one class and the remaining 50 per cent should be called the next day. S.O.P. for schools. Has been issued.


According to the Times of India, Puducherry had allowed classes for Std 5 and 12 students to start from October 5 and for Std 9 and 11 from October 8. Classes for each standard will be held three days a week and not compulsory.
