Mumbai. Doctors and medical staff need adequate protection to fight the corona virus. They need a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) kit to prevent infection. Vidya Bal has donated a total of 1000 PPE kits to the doctors and staff of Indian hospitals. He has also vowed to raise money for another 1000 kits.
Vidya Balan shared the video and revealed all the information that there is a shortage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) kits for doctors, nurses and ward boys at present. They are in constant contact with patients and if a single staff member becomes infected, the entire staff of 8-12 people has to stay in quarantine for 2 to 3 weeks.
Due to which the hospital cannot function properly. I am personally donating 1000 kits to hospitals and medical staff across the country. I also swear to raise money for another 1000 kits. I will send you a personal video message of thanks if you contribute to this noble work.
Giving information about what will be in the kits, how much it will cost, Vidya Balan said that each PPE kit will have overall laminated and waterproof nitral gloves, goggles, face shield, 3 ply surgical mask and shoe cover.
