Every year, the best and brightest people in Hollywood get together at a star-studded event to celebrate their great achievements. We are, of course, talking about the Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars.
They are, as intended, a great barometer for sorting out good movies from bad. But choosing the best sc scare winning movies is quite a challenge. There have been about 100 ceremonies since the awards began and each one prizes a dozen films.
So, how did we come up with this list? We only looked at the movies that won the prestigious Best Picture award and then picked our favorite from that list. So, without further ado, here are the 25 best scour-winning movies you should watch before you die.
More than two-thirds of Hollywood's Best Picture winners were inspired by literature, whether it was a novel, a biography, a play, or a short story. In fact, since the inaugural Academy Awards in 1928, more than 60 of the best picture winners have been taken from the literature, and not including the nominees. From epic war stories to classic romantic comedy, here's a look at some of Hollywood's favorite films of 1938.

2017: Moonlight
Based on the play Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue by Terrell Alvin McCranny, the upcoming film was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won three, including Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Screenplay.
The most expensive gowns and sheer gowns swayed on the red carpet
Jennifer Garner, the ex-wife of actor Ben Affleck, created a sensation on the red carpet by wearing a gown worth à«® 25,000. Jennifer, 4, wore a cobalt blue sleeveless gown. Albanian singer Bliona Carretti, a 6-year-old singer, wore a very transparent gown and created silence on the red carpet on Sunday evening. All eyes were on him as he tried to cover the raised area with a golden circle. Demonstrating his dehlality, he tried to justify his Madonna of Albania title.

Whose dress sense was good or bad at the 70th Oscars?
The dresses of Salma Hayek and Hoopi Goldberg have been the subject of criticism this year due to their flamboyance of colors, while Adam Ripo caused controversy by wearing a leather harness on the red carpet. Viola Davis' dress was also heavily criticized. However, the most talked about dress this year was 3-year-old Rita Moreno's dress. Rita, who won the Best Supporting Actress award for her 19th film West Side Story, made history by wearing the dress she wore at the time this year. Rita Moreno modified the gown of the 19th and wore it to make it more modern.
Various records set at the 20th Oscars
For the first time this year, a transgender actress Daniela Vega presented the award. This year too, Meryl Streep received a nomination in the Actress category. Meryl Streep has set a record of 21 Oscar nominations, although she has won three Oscars for Best Actress.
2014: Birdman or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance
The movie itself was not based on a book but it is not without a literary connection. In the award-winning film, a frustrated actor (Michael Keaton) attempts to enhance his flagship career with a stage adaptation of Raymond Carver's short story collection and Talk Talk About Talk Talk and Our Talk Talk Our Love, originally published in 1981. .
2013: 12 years slave
Solomon Northup was a free man who was kidnapped and sold into the Louisiana slave trade. He recounts his 1853 memoirs detailing his experience in Twelve Years a Slave, which was the basis of three Academy Award-winning films.
2012: Argo
Starring Lan Lan Arkin and Ben Affleck, the scour winner is based on the Argo: No How No-Fiction read Argo: How the CIA and Hollywood were pulled by top-level CIA agent Antonio Mendez to rescue the most audible deity in history. Mendez's book, published in 2012, details the critical rescue of six Americans from a 1979 hostage situation in Tehran.
Other best picture winners of the decade were Spotlight (2015), The Artist (2011) and The King's Speech (2010).
BTVN Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Avengers: Endgame's record-setting worldwide 2.8 billion worldwide, superhero movies - and especially Marvel Cinematic Universe movies - are dominating office fees in 2019. Sc Scar-winner Roma (2018), one of the most critically acclaimed films of the year, chose to release large or longer theaters in favor of streaming on Netflix. Which means it's about to be the most delusional time of the year, as well.
