Nishta - The National Initiative for the Comprehensive Progress of School Heads and Teachers is an initiative to develop the capacity of teachers and school principals at an early stage.

Scope of coverage

Implementation

They will focus on various aspects related to ICT in education-learning, including learning outcomes, aptitude-based learning and testing, study-focused pedagogy, school safety and security, personal-social qualities, inclusive education, and artificial intelligence, and develop their skills. Enjoyable learning methods including health and wellness yoga, library, eco club, youth club, kitchen garden, school leadership qualities, environmental concerns, pre-school, pre-vocational education and school based assessment. Quality training packages with modules related to the above areas have been developed by NCERT and NIEPA. States and Union Territories may refer to training modules and use their own materials and resource persons, taking into account the core themes and expected outcomes.
